FAQs
What size should I choose for my paddle?
The narrow tape (20mm wide) is best for paddles that are 14mm thick or thinner, and for edgeless paddles.
The standard tape (25mm wide) is recommended for most 16mm paddles, offering great coverage around the sides of the edge guard without extra bulk.
If you want fuller coverage over your edge guard or have a paddle thicker than 16mm, we recommend the wide tape (30mm wide) for the best fit.
How many paddles will one roll cover?
Each roll includes 64 inches of tape — enough to fully wrap the edges of two paddles. You can also cover just the top edge of your paddle for several uses.
Will the tape wrinkle when applied?
Nope! Our tape is designed to apply smoothly without wrinkling, giving your paddle a clean, professional finish. You may need to pull the tape tighter when going around the corners for a smooth application.
Can I apply it myself?
Yes! It's easy to apply — just peel and stick, smoothing it along the edge of your paddle as you go.
Does this tape add a lot of weight to my paddle?
The tape was intentionally made to be lightweight and durable, protecting your paddle while adding as little impact on weight as possible.
Is this tape branded?
No — the tape is brandless for a clean, simple look that pairs well with any paddle design.
Can I cut the tape to a custom length?
Absolutely. The tape is easy to cut, so you can customize the fit for your paddle’s specific shape and size.
This is good edge tape. It is a little thin but sticks good. Also be aware that this red is not a deep/normal red color. This has more of a pinkish red color. Other than that I would recommend, especially the white and black tape.
I’m a bit of a diva when it comes to edge guard tape. It bugs me when tape starts coming up on the edges (which happens to me often because I like stretching it tight around the corners of my paddles). This tape is cloth-like flexible, and I find it to be better for staying put than vinyl tapes which are more rigid. It did take a couple times to realize which size would be best, so I’ll share what I learned about sizes below.
The narrow size is 20mm wide (I’d imagine this would be good for paddles that are 10-12mm thick), the standard is 25mm (which I assume would be good for paddles 14-16mm thick), and the wide is 30mm (which I would use for paddles 16+ mm thick). The photo I shared has a standard width tape on it and is installed on my 20mm thick Selkirk Luxx. I wish I woulda gone with the wide width for a little more coverage, but the standard is sufficient as noted in the photo.
The tape is high-quality, with just the right thickness and width for my 10mm paddle. It's lightweight enough not to interfere with the balance of my paddle.
Application is straightforward, and I love that it comes with just the right amount of adhesive—not too sticky, but enough to stay secure during intense games.
