Tuning Clamps

Each order includes two Tuning Clamps, designed to be placed symmetrically on each side of the paddle, along with an Allen wrench for adjusting and securing the clamps.

Tuning Clamps attach to the paddle’s edge guard using small screws. Loosen them to slide the clamp along the edge guard, then tighten once you find the placement you like. The clamp only needs to be snug, no over-tightening required.

Tuning Clamps can be used as a permanent weighting solution or as a way to test different weight placements before applying weighted tape. They’re especially useful for experimenting with balance, stability, and feel without committing to a fixed setup.

No. Tuning Clamps are designed to be edge-safe and protect the paddle’s finish when installed correctly. In some cases, light indentation marks may appear on the side of edge guard, but this is cosmetic and does not affect performance or durability of your paddle.

Yes. Once tightened, the clamps stay secure during play, including hard drives and quick hand battles at the net.

Tuning Clamps comply with USA Pickleball regulations for on-court play and USAP sanctioned tournaments. They are not permitted in UPA-A–sanctioned pro qualifier or pro events, but they are allowed in amateur PPA events. As always, check event-specific rules if you have questions.

Tuning Tape is ideal for permanent or semi-permanent setups and fine-grain weight distribution. Tuning Clamps are reusable and adjustable, making them better for testing, experimenting, and making quick changes without residue.

Yes. You can loosen the screws, reposition the clamps, and retighten them between games or sessions to test different setups.

Tuning Clamps are designed to work with most standard pickleball paddles that have an edge guard and are available in 14mm and 16mm options. Extremely thin or non-standard edge guards may not be compatible.
