Add 2 gram (1 inch of tape) to the upper middle of each side and 1 gram (1 inch of tape) just above the bottom corner on each side. Add overgrip.
Why this placement?
Adding 2 grams higher on the sides strengthens and stabilizes the impact zone while giving the paddle the extra swing weight and mass above the balance point it needs to carry through the ball more naturally on drives. The 1 gram placed lower is there purely to boost twist weight and improve overall stability on off-center contact.
The result:
The swing weight still sits below average for an elongated paddle, but the sweet spot feels noticeably larger than most in this shape. You also get a more natural, better-distributed balance that makes the elongated profile feel easier to swing and more connected through contact.
Fine tuning:
Our test unit came in on the lower swing weight side for this model. If yours has a higher stock weight than what’s listed above, you can likely get away with just 1.5 grams placed higher on the sides at the sweet spot zone. That should be enough to dial in the balance and stability without overdoing it.
