FAQs

How do I use Paddle Tuning Strips?

Simply peel and stick the strips to your paddle. Most players start by adding weight to the sides of the paddle to increase stability, but you can experiment with placement to find what feels best for your game.

What benefits will I notice after adding weight?

You can expect more stability, a larger sweet spot, and a more solid feel on contact. Many players also notice improved consistency and power on drives.

What weight option should I choose?

Picking the right weight depends on your paddle and weight tolerance. Most players start with 3g strips for a balanced, versatile setup. Widebody paddles can typically handle more weight with 4g strips, while elongated paddles are more head heavy, making 2g a better starting point.

Should I choose pre-weighted strips or a roll?

Pre-weighted strips are the easiest and most player-friendly option. They’re simple to apply, consistent, and require no measuring or guesswork. Rolls offer more versatility and are better suited for more advanced or customized setups where you want to fine-tune weight placement more precisely.

Are these better than lead tape?

These are a safer, non-toxic alternative to lead tape while offering the same performance benefits without the health concerns that come with handling lead.

How do these compare to tungsten tape?

You’ll get the same performance benefits at a lower cost. Iron-based weighting keeps it more affordable while still delivering consistent results, though the strips are slightly thicker than tungsten tape.

Will the strips stay on during play?

Yes. They’re designed with strong adhesive to stay in place during regular play, including heat and high-intensity play.

Can I remove or reposition the strips?

You can adjust and reposition the strips shortly after applying them before the adhesive takes full hold. Once pressed on and left in place, they’re designed to stay put and do not work well if reused. If removed later, they will leave some residue that can be rubbed off.

Will this work on my paddle?

Yes. The strips are designed to fit the vast majority of paddles ranging from 13mm to 16mm thickness and work across all paddle shapes.

How many paddles can I use one pack on?

Each pack includes 12 strips, giving you enough to customize multiple paddles or make adjustments over time as you refine your setup.

Do I need experience with paddle weighting to use these?

Not at all. The pre-weighted design makes it easy to get consistent results without guesswork, whether you’re new to paddle customization or already familiar with it.
