CUSTOMIZATION TIPS & SETUP

BREAD & BUTTER LOCO (STANDARD)

Goal: Standard-shaped paddles are quick and forgiving but can feel a little light through contact. This setup adds modest weight and swingweight to improve plow-through while keeping the paddle fast and maneuverable. The sweet spot is already solid, so the focus here is balance first, with a small forgiveness bump from the added mass.

"THE LOCO" STANDARD

WEIGHT SETUP

What you'll need:

  • 0.5g per inch Tuning Tape roll
  • Overgrip

Placement:

Add 1 gram (2 inches of tape) to the top of each side and 2.5 grams (5 inches of tape) along the bottom throat area on both sides.

Why this placement?

The 1 gram placed higher on the side provides the swing weight bump we wanted. The added weight lower on the paddle increases overall mass for better plow-through without meaningfully increasing swingweight, while also helping balance out the higher placement.

Fine tuning:

If you try this set up and find you still wish it was a little lighter you could trim some of the weight added in the throat by taking an inch of tape off on each side there.
